Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
We are so glad that you are here! Getting started can be scary, let's work on this together. To do so, please feel free to contact us via phone at (908) 349-0335 or email danielle@findingpeacenj.com to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation. This initial consultation will help us ensure that our services align with your needs and preferences. If unable to meet those needs, I am happy to provide additional references.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time we are currently paneled with Aetna and Cigna. Finding Peace Counseling Services uses Headway to handle billing. Clients who use insurance are required to have an active credit card on file with Headway and will be charged the day of session for all co-pays or missed appointments. Clients will be able to complete these billing forms upon receipt of "Welcome Email" from Headway.
If we are not in network with your insurance, you can pay for sessions out of pocket and you can receive a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement based on your insurance benefits. If this applies to you, please read the information below related to your right to a ‘Good Faith Estimate’ —
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
Please note: United, Oscar, and Oxford will be accepted in the near future. If you have one of these insurance carriers, please do not hesitate to reach out and you will be added to our waitlist and notified once in network.
